Tree! Just like that we are in The regular season 2025 NFL. A crazy week 1, in which Daniel Jones ended in a draw for QB2, is in the books. Last week I had a few hits and some mistakes, with more of the latter, albeit. Notwithstanding that all, hopefully today I spoke to a number of 1-0 team managers. But if you are 0-1 (as I am in my honest part of the competitions), remember that it is early!
Now we look ahead to week 2 and we look at the matchups. A week is a very small sample size. But they are actual 2025 data, so I will take it into account. That said, I will still largely rely on statistics and trends from last year. In fact, this will be the case until about week 4, when we can see more definitive trends that come around the competition. So without at A lot of overreaction from week 1, let’s dive into my start and sit recommendations for this week immediately.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Start/Sit
Quarterback
Start: Kyler Murray
New Orleans turned out to be a more difficult than I thought in week 1. And I would dare to guess that I am not alone there. Arizona, however, managed to secure the victory and the QB of the cardinals was efficient and completed 21 of 29 passings. Although his Yardage was kept until only 163, he helped his business with two passing touchdowns. It was encouraging to see Murray contact Marvin Harrison JR on five of his six goals, pointing to a budding chemistry between the second year Wideout and his signal-caller. Murray also ran the ball seven times for 38 Yards. This can be more of it in the coming weeks. By one Azcental.com -articleThe cards “have adjusted part of their schedules of the fitting protection in an attempt to open more clambering for Murray in the middle.”
After a matchup on the road to start the season, Murray and Company return home to Glendale, AZ, to organize the Carolina Panthers. Last year the Panthers surrendered 20.5 Fantasy points per game To the Quarterback position. She only places them for the Dallas Cowboys. Look for Murray to darken the 20 -point threshold that he missed scary last week. This week the AZ QB is seventh in the weekly Quarterback rankings of PlayerProfiler. I don’t care what he is wearing for the game; If I have none of the four or five ‘elites’, he goes into my line -up.
Honorous mention: Justin Herbert
SIT: Baker Mayfield
In August I mentioned my doctor and Duds article that Mayfield was a regressic candidate. In week 1 the BUCs faced the Atlanta Falcons, which were in 29th place in 2024. Mayfield. He was able to connect to three touchdowns while avoiding sales. The former number 1 general choice also added 39 Yards to five clambering. Although he may not have been chosen in this game, Mayfield only completed 17 of 32 passing attempts, with a few almost interceptions in the beginning.
Week 2 Pits the cunning veteran Quarterback against the Houston Texans. The Texans arrive 2025 Pro Football Focus’ Fourth secondary secondary. Last week they held Matthew Stafford on 13.6 fantasy points. Houston also has a few talented Rand Rushers in Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. From this letter there has been no news about the return of the left Tackle Tristan Wirfs. If Wirfs miss a different game, the aforementioned duo will offer a considerably more difficult challenge for the improvised offensive line of the BUCs than the Pass Rush of Falcons did last week. Indeed, this would be a heavy matchup for the tampa -attacking line on full power. Depending on your options in the position, you cannot have a choice. But at least I would lower the expectations for Mayfield.
Honorous mention: Jared Goff
Walk back
Start: Chuba Hubbard
The Pick 2021 concept settled last year as the undisputed lead of Carolina. He received a nice contract extension in the low season and an improved offensive ecosystem to work inside.
Last week Hubbard continued where he had gone in 2024, good for 16 out of 20 running Rush attempts. He was also a factor in the passing game and caught three out of five goals for 32 yards and a score.
Hubbard’s week 2 opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, allowed 19.8 fantasy points per game To run back in 2024. He is a solid option in your RB2 slot this week.
Chuba Hubbard seasonal statistics
Honorable mentions: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Jaylen Warren
SIT: Isiah Pacheco
My striking value of the year came out of the gate very slowly last Friday, because he was part of a three -way rotation. He only collected five Carry’s, despite the average of five meters. The Chiefs seemed to be planning to give Kareem Hunt almost every high-quality touch opportunity. Even Rookie Brashard Smith walked in with a Snap share of 13%, with six routes.
The matchup of the Chiefs’ Week 2 is considerably more difficult because they organize the Philadelphia Eagles. Last season Philly was firm against the run, making a League-Low 12.1 fantasy points per match for opposite running. The Eagles gave 119 meters on the floor last week, but a large part of it came on a 49-Yard scamper through former Eagle Miles Sanders, who immediately rumbled at the next game. Lead back Javonte Williams was held up to 54 Yards Hurden, with an average of 3.6 yards per carry. Even if the Run defense of the Eagles has taken a step back this year, the use of Pacheco was disturbing last week to say the light. Let’s look somewhere else this week and see if Pacheco can get to the right track in the near future.
Honorable mentions: d’Andre Swift, CLE RBS
Width
Start: Ricky Pearsall

Ricky Pearsall -Profile and Training Statistics
The second-year Wideout held in a tough week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in a tough week. Pearsall moved in four of the seven goals for 108 Yards and one fingertip afbing was away from a touchdown.
The saints of New Orleans will organize the 49 people in week 2. Last year they allowed 23.3 fantasy points per match to opposite broad recipients. That arranged them at 27, tied up with the Dallas Cowboys.
Quarterback Brock Purdy is now doubtful for week 2, and we want to follow that. If he missed this week’s game, Mac Jones would get the nod as a signal-caller. Still, with the matchup and the lack of other options (with both Jauan Jennings and Star Tight End that George Kittle is expected to miss at least one match), Pearsall will see a healthy target. I trust that head coach Kyle Shanahan will be game planning to get Pearsall Open looks. After all, wasn’t Shanahan’s attack that Jimmy Garoppolo got a few years ago so big deal in a free desk? We may not be able to rely on what the eighth -year head coach out totally, but we can trust his schedule. Close Pearsall with some confidence in your flex spot.
Honorous mentions: Travis Hunter“ Calvin Ridley
Sit: Jayden Reed
Maybe you see Reed’s 13.5-PPR-Point Fantasy-Output from week 1 and think he is good to go. But I would be careful this week. Remember that Jayden was trying to play through a Jones fracture, a break of the fifth midfoot (located on the outside of the foot). Although it is amazing that Reed can play with this injury at all, we must note that his Snap share was covered by 51%. This makes him a “touchdown or bust” kind of game.
In week 2 the Packers organize the Washington commanders. Last year the commanders were in the Top half of the competition defending the broad receiver position. Last week, They could prevent Malik from breaking out Nubers, although, although, that could also have had something to do with struggling experienced Quarterback Russell Wilson. Nevertheless, I am looking for other options where I can for week 2.
Honorable mentions: Michael Pittman Jr., Tyreek Hill
Tight end
Start: Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews Athleticism Score and Ranks
The tight end of the veteran of the ravens was largely a non-factor in the fireworks on Sunday evening compared to the accounts last week, which carries his lonely target for a measly five meters.
But that was last week. It is difficult for me to conclude that Andrews has been completely washed and will disappear due to a bad week. He has had bad competitions in the past. Lamar Jackson will find his old teammate more often in their upcoming division matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Last year the browns ended in the bottom half of the competition against the position, and that trend continued in week 1. If you have a better matchup in your line -up, go for it. Andrews is by no means a ‘must-start’. But if you are in a pinch, I wouldn’t throw away the 30-year-old tight end.
Honorous mentions: Hunter Henry, Brenton Strange

SIT: Dalton Kincaid
Don’t be fooled by Kincaid’s week 1 fantasy output. The third year tight end only drew four goals, although he caught them all. And one went for a score, which strengthened his fantasy production, as is the case with most tight ends outside the “elite” layer. The Touchdown was one of only two thrown by Ster Quarterback Josh Allen in the exciting Sunday evening competition, where he also hurried to two scores. This is a trend that will be continued from 2024, when the Red Zone Run-to-Pass Ratio of Bills Was almost two-on-one.
This week the bills travel to East Rutherford, NJ, in a collision with the New York Jets. The jets were stingy versus opposite tight ends last year, so they could only six fantasy points per game. You don’t have to squeeze to see that Kincaid is lost in the shuffle this week.
Honorabable entries: Dallas Goeded, Colston Loveland

And good luck!
