The Gunners host the Reds at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday as they look to maintain their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
The north London team have welcomed back a number of key players from injury in recent weeks, including Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, but they still have three men on the treatment table.
Defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Cristhian Mosquera have been ruled out of the game against Liverpool, while teenager Max Dowman is not expected to return from an ankle problem until next month.
“[Calafiori and Mosquera] are out again,” Arteta confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
“I think quite quickly [they will return]. They need to go through the final phase of rehabilitation and if all goes well, they will hopefully be available for selection soon.”

Arsenal star Havertz is set to return as Arteta issues an injury update
Havertz trained on Wednesday as he accelerated his recovery from a knee injury he suffered on the opening day of the season against Manchester United. Arteta says they are carefully managing the Germany international but revealed he is “very close” to being available for selection again.
“We are monitoring his cargo,” he said. ‘He’s been out for a long time, for two different reasons.
“He is very close. He trained again this morning. Hopefully we have him available and the best version of himself.”
