The departure of Mike Ashley meant the return of WOR -flags to competitions, while they ended their boycott.
The flag for the competition shows again and becomes part of the MatchDay routine again.
Prior to the first home game of the 2022/23 season, WOR flags invited all fans to consider helping them with future flag displays by setting up a regular monthly donation to finance them. See below how you can participate.
WOR Flags now ask Newcastle United fans to do their bit in St St James’ Park on Monday evening ..
To help NUFC to get a positive result against the ruling champions.
United is now opposed to Liverpool in the Premier League.
WOR VLAGT Messages via their social media – 25 August 2025:
‘Back in St James’ park, and also among the lights!
There is not much to say in the atmosphere, we know what to do, right from the out, behind the boys in black and white!
Go in them Newcastle! How do you want the boys!
There are displays in both the Gallowgate and it still, and your help is greatly appreciated!
The Gallowgate is flooded with flags, if you have one on your chair or if you see one on a walkway, let it get going, it helps the display that we have planned. ‘

The purpose of the WOR flags’ explained:
‘Our goal
WOR Vlaggen Doel is simple – to create displays in St James’ park that are worth this great club. We will achieve this in the following ways:
Hundreds of black and white handheld Waver flags
Larger adapted design one and two poler Aarse flags
Large text banners with support reports
Foils, surfers and adapted Tifos’
On behalf of everyone who visits the MAG, we signed up in the summer of 2022 to make a modest regular monthly donation to finance WOR flags and that is underway.
If you want to come to us and make a personal individual contribution, please go HEREWhere you can set up a monthly donation (of only £ 1 per month and higher) on WOR flags, or a one-off contribution.
