For those of you who are regularly readers of the Mag, like me, you are probably sick for the back teeth of articles that explain how Alexander Isak’s situation will work, written by authors with little or no internal knowledge of the facts.
I’m sorry I have to disappoint you, but this is another.
However, before you completely skip this article, I recommend that you read a little as you may think that this is somewhat different from the norm.
Back at the start of this summer’s transfer window, the club faced a number of problems. Now that Champions League football returned for the coming season, there was a desire to strengthen the play team with a new right -sided center back, a replacement for Miguel Almiron on the right wing and for Callum Wilson near Striker. The goalkeeper team also had to be resolved and maybe one or two others were signed.
PSR was a problem that the amount that could be spent, limited and the club was also aware that they would like to further strengthen the team in the coming January if the progress in the Champions League probably looks.
Alexander Isak was also promised an improved contract that had to be financed within the requirements of PSR and there were other related issues such as his agent who wanted to arrange a final deal before his retirement.
As we all know, Eddie Howe is a master tactician and “Operation Isak Situation” was discussed with the club chairman and his approval obtained. The role of Alexander Isak was outlined to him and the benefits that were explained before “Operation Isak Situation” was launched at the end of June. The first public signs that “Operation Isak situation” was launched were when Alexander Isak was omitted from the team to play Celtic and his agent announced that he wanted to consider his options. Liverpool had already indicated an interest in acquiring the services of Isak and this fact had not gone unnoticed by the club. As expected, these two public signals were sufficient to launch a media Firestorm with speculation about the future of Isak elsewhere. Liverpool announced to the media that they would be willing to pay £ 120 million to sign him and followed an offer of £ 110 million that was rejected as far under the view of his value of Newcastle. But private club officials were pleased that Liverpool had made an offer, because this was all part of the strategy that was intended by ‘Operation Isak Situation’.
Eddie Howe and Alexander Isak are clearly on very good conditions and Alexander Isak understands his role in ‘Operation Isak situation’. He performed perfectly. Everything he has done gave the impression that he no longer wants to play in black -white and that Liverpool is his chosen destination.
We now see countless reports in the press that Liverpool returns with an improved offer for Alexander Isak after the game on Monday evening. This is precisely the scenario that is considered in the planning for ‘Operation Isak situation’. Things will move quickly next week and let me reveal how things will take place.
Liverpool returns on Tuesday or Wednesday with an offer of around £ 140 million for Isak. I am not sure if this will be high enough for the club, or whether they want to play another day or two poker, with the aim of extracting a higher offer. But as soon as an offer that meets the Newcastle criteria has been received, the details are communicated to the club chairman who has personally supervised the situation. Shortly thereafter, Newcastle will receive an offer within a few hours that corresponds to the range of Liverpool from one of the Saudi clubs that are checked by the PIF. Newcastle indicates that the offers meet their criteria and that it is up to Alex Isak to decide what he will accept.
Alexander Isak then decides to accept ………… .. Saudi’s offer!
The deal will be completed and Newcastle will be a PSR profit in the order of £ 100 million banking. Alexander Isak’s agent has the deal he wants to retire and Alexander Isak may meet his weekly wages.
Then, a day after the deal is completed, the Saudi club announces that it has agreed a loan agreement for the 2025/26 season where Alexander Isak will play for ………. Newcastle United. Newcastle agrees to pay in his raised wages, who with a PSR profit in the £ 100 million bank, they like to do. And there are sufficient factors around the Isak schemes that mean that the club can justify the raised wages without activating the requirements of the rest of the team.
But wait, I hear you say. The rest of the Premier League will scream wrong! They will complain that the deal is a deal with a connected party that does not count for PSR purposes. But the goal behind the “Operation Isak situation” has always been to the club to ensure that it receives an offer from third parties for Isak that can then be used to justify the sale to the Saudi club as on the conditions of Arm.
So Newcastle gets a PSR win of £ 100 million, they retain the services of Alexander Isak for the coming season, at least, the real situation behind the Isak situation becomes clear to everyone and Alexander Isak is welcomed in St James’ Park as a hero after he played an absolute blinder in “Operation Isak Situation”.
The only drawback is that at the start of the season the team has been for a few games without the services of Alexander Isak, but on the other hand he is good and really rested for a rigorous season. Eddie Howe and the rest of the team have been very careful not to criticize Alexander Isak everywhere and this is consistent with him who returns to the Newcastle team. Liverpool, who has initiated the entire occasion, continues to spit feathers.
As I said at the start of this article, you are probably reading articles based on the fantasies of the authors who have no knowledge of what actually happens, but I hope you enjoyed this.
