Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are set for an exciting showdown in the Australian Open final on Sunday. Djokovic, 38, is looking for his record-extending 11th Melbourne crown and 25th major trophy, while Alcaraz, 22, aims to complete the Career Grand Slam.

When is the Australian Open final?

The final between Djokovic and the top-seeded Alcaraz starts on Sunday at 7:30 PM local time / 3:30 AM ET / 9:30 AM CET.

Djokovic leads Alcaraz 5-4 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series, which included a four-set victory over the Spaniard in the quarter-finals of last year’s Australian Open. Alcaraz have won three of their five major encounters. Sunday will be their third Slam final, having met in the Wimbledon finals in 2023 and 2024, both of which were won by Alcaraz.

Both Djokovic and Alcaraz took part in the semi-finals of the marathon on Friday. Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev in a five-hour, 27-minute thriller, the longest semifinal in tournament history. Djokovic escaped from two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner after four hours and nine minutes.
