In reply, Cape Town got off to a slow start, losing their openers in the powerplay. Reeza Hendricks fought hard and remained unbeaten with 68 off 50 balls. However, he did not receive much support from his teammates as Rashid and Co. were restricted to 132/7 in 20 overs. Gideon Peters finished with the best figures in the match of 3/32 in four overs.
