A key factor behind their impressive run was a determined record on home soil. Villa have incredibly achieved the highest home win percentage of any side in Europe’s top five leagues in the last twelve months.
Emery’s side have won 82.1% of their matches at Villa Park, a record that puts them ahead of giants such as Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
This season, Villa have lost just one of their 10 league games at Villa Park, a shock setback against Crystal Palace in August. They have won their last eight home games in a row in the Premier League and also boast a 100% home record (3/3) in the Europa League this season.
