Magomed Zaynukov misses the feeling of making his father proud. Zajnukov recently became emotional when thinking about his late father. Zajnukov recalls that his father never praised him personally. However, Zaynukov’s father would proudly brag about his son’s achievements to family and friends. Zajnukov’s father passed away shortly after he switched from kickboxing to MMA. Zajnukov misses his father even more now that he has made it to the UFC.
‘I miss him’
“My father never really praised me personally, but he always praised me when he spoke to his friends or family members,” Zaynukov told Red Corner MMA. “He just never did that to me personally. The moment I switched to MMA, my father passed away. Of course, I miss him so much, especially now that I have achieved so much and reached the best competition in the world: the UFC. I miss him… I miss the feeling of him being proud of me.”Fans initially knew Zajnukov (8-0) as a training partner of Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov. His nickname ‘Chanco’ was mistaken for ‘John Pork’, which contributed to his popularity. Zajnukov earned his UFC contract last year with a win over Lucas Caldas.
