It was a big night before the home team of UFC Perth.
If you have Carlos Ulberg of New Zealand (let’s just call it Team Oceania), all four winners of the bonuses on the many malignant Fight Night Card local favorites were. The event, which struggled to sell tickets, still produced some solid action, especially in the main and co-main events.
All four awarded bonuses were from the performance of the nocturnal variety. No fight for the night was distributed on UFC Perth.
In the Co-Headliner, Jimmy Crute of Australia won his second consecutive victory, with what was announced as a coded choke against Ivan Erlan. In reality, Crute seemed to catch the KSW veteran in slightly more related to a camel coupling, which stuck until Erlan was forced to tap.
There was no crane from Dominick Cruz in the main event he was cold eliminated by Carlos Ulberg, who dropped him with a 1-2 and then followed with a few land attacks. Ulberg, a city of Kickboxing star who is known as ‘Black Jag’, has now won nine rights in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. It is difficult to imagine a world where Ulberg does not fight for gold, although Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira 2 must first be done.
The remaining two bonus winners on UFC Perth were Jack Jenkins and Brando Pericic, both Australians. Pericic made his promotional debut and put away Elisha Ellison with a number of heavy bumps from the top, that Ellison passed and out for some time.
After the competition, Pericic revealed that he had taken a loan of $ 100,000 to fight in the UFC and called for a bonus to pay it off. Wish granted.
All four winners of the bonuses collect the usual $ 50,000 US on top of their wallet (usual, until the Paramount+ Deal starts next year).
