These are the last cars you stopped to take photos – Jalopnik

Sharing photos of cars with our friends is a timeless tradition that is only made easier with smartphones and social media. Earlier this week we asked our readers for the last cars they stopped to take pictures of. Respondents filled the commentary section with unique finds, memorable supercars and their own cherished journeys. It is always great to see how our friends respond to the strange or awesome machines with which we cross paths.

Although most photos were taken to capture good moments, others were taken to illustrate the bad situations in which cars were. But not every unexpected moment was bad. It is always worth taking photos when you see a foreign car that was not sold in the United States because you never know when you will see it again. Without more delay, here are the cars that have attracted your attention enough to get your phone out for a photo:

A Toyota Previa is undoubtedly a unique pick -up truck

I am not looking for a new bedroom poster car; I take a picture of something I have never seen before. Because I can only upload one photo, I choose to post a Toyota Previa that someone has converted into a pick -up. But I also recently took a picture of a smart roadster, of which I didn’t even know they built.

A new BMW M8 -Cabriolet on Display

The other week I took a picture of a new BMW M8 competition cabriolet. Competition and together convertible seems like an oxymoron, but whatever. It’s a nice car. It could be seen at a BMW arrangement-and-drive event. I didn’t drive it, but I have spent a 4-door coupé (another Oxymoron) with a very long name, such as M850i X-Drive Coupe. Large, fast, impressive.

Spotting a Mazda RX-7 in the parking garage casually

This was simply casually parked in the garage that left the work one day. It didn’t seem to have been adjusted and was in excellent condition. I can’t remember the last time I saw such a survivor that I just didn’t see it as a big deal. I took a picture because it made me happy.

Stumble over an MG club meeting

Last summer a Multi-State MG club met in a local hotel near the small town in Ohio where I live. I only knew that because I saw a couple of vintage MGs driving around, and during a traffic light I asked someone’s driver what they did there. Here is a photo. (Apparently I can only record one in a message.) These things were small.

Share a fire truck with your trainee firefighter at home

I went to my phone photo album and scrolled until I found the first car-related photo. It is not a car and I didn’t stop, I was a passenger in a car that moved :). My child trains to become a firefighter, so I took this photo for her. During a recent visit to the old country, huge wind storm tore up the city (szeged), so firefighters were busy all day (this was pretty good for a fast snapshot).

A French classic that can be seen in Tampa

Had an hour or two to kill for a flight home from St. Pete -Clearwater International Airport. I noticed that the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum was nearby and it was a treat! One of those quiet, excellent collections that you have never heard of. What moved me to take a photo was a spectacular Delahaye type 235 from 1952. I had never heard of Delahaye, a French company. They were involved in racing and luxury cars and made commercial and military vehicles to pay the bills. The type 235s were all coached. Has a 6-cylinder of 3.5l. Delahaye faded in the mid -50s. The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is owned by a French family, and logically they have a huge collection of Delahayes.

A testarossa parked for a restaurant

I live within walking distance of a restaurant that is suitable for the rather well -to -do of this area. It is common to see a Rolls-Royce, Bentleys and the latest Porsches parked. Two new lotuses were at the front at the weekend, but I forgot to take a picture. But I love me a Testarossa! And your eyes don’t cheat on you … Those are snow posts in the background. This was after a large snowstorm earlier this year and this Ferrari owner took on everywhere with salt-covered roads and snow stacks! How he dares !!!

The unfortunate Abarth on a flatbed

Unfortunately my Abarth 2012 experienced a new and only first: a flatbed drag. It was nothing serious, but I had to trust others to resolve it (problem with the multiair engine because of the problem of oil pressure).

What does an Opel Manta do in New Hampshire?

A few weeks ago I came across an Opel Manta and had to park next to it to get a decent picture. I did not expect that I would see one in the New Hampshire Lakes region, but I was surprised before I had seen both an Ariel Nomad and Amphicar in Laconia in Laconia during earlier summers.

Why not tie a fake shark on top of a buggy?

Supercars and look-at-me displays of wealth do not do anything for me-we all have seen every Porsche, Ferrari and whatever a thousand times on the internet. I love the crazy and unique things that show an owner who has fantastic or works hard to ensure something that was once common, but now that it becomes rare. Here is my newest catch (literally!) Near Annapolis, MD.
