In addition to the introduction of a new variant of the rear-wheel drive on long distance, there are also some changes to the Tesla Model 3 Highland Facelift range for Malaysia, the primary is a revision in the prices, with all models now cheaper than before.

As indicated on the Tesla Malaysia website, the current Model 3 Highland Facelift prices are:

  • Rear-wheel drive-RM169,000 (formerly RM181,000, Reduction of RM12,000)
  • Long distance rear-wheel drive-RM185,000 (new variant)
  • Long distance four-wheel drive-RM199,000 (formerly RM210,000, reduction of RM11,000)
  • Performance All-Wheel Drive-RM229,000 (formerly RM242,000, Reduction of RM13,000)

This is of course the second price determination for the standard RWD and Long-Range RWD versions. When the Highland made its Malaysian debut in October 2023, the RWD was priced on RM189,000, while the LR RWD went for RM218,000. In April last year, after the appearance of the implementation, the prices were adjusted for both, with the RWD reduced to RM181,000 and the LR RWDs to RM210,000.

Apart from the revised prices, the model range also has some specific changes and technical improvements, with the latter being an increase in the WLTP-Rated range of the performance four-wheel drive, from 528 km to 571 km.

Just like the reach improvement for the rear -wheel drive variant (from 513 km to 520 km) earlier this year, the bump is probably caused by a upgraded battery. The figure is slightly short of the 580 km that is available on the recently updated model Y performance.

There are also a few new hardware additions, and these come in the form of:

  • A new bumper camera on the front; Improved Autopilot Vision system with eight cameras
  • A column mounted Turn Signal Stalk
  • Matt black front and rear Tesla logos

No changes to the color palette that was revised from earlier this year, when Stealth Gray became the standard tone instead of the previous Pearl White Multi-Coat, which is now, such as deep-blue metallic and diamond black (the replacement for solid black), an RM5,000 option. In the meantime, Quicksilver and Ultra Red RM11,000 cost options.

The company has also announced in a statement that it will further expand its charging Nfrastructure network in the country, with more charging stations that were effective at the end of 2025, including in Pavilion Damansara Heights, Nexus Bangsar South and the Mall, Mid Valley Southkey. It currently has 15 supercharging stations (with 68 Superchargers) and 16 zoning loading stations (with 73 destination loaders) in the country.
