Sunrise Road-Rage Incident led to the arrest of EX-MLB All-Star Rafael Furcal: Police

Former Major League-Short Stop Rafael Furcal threw stones at another man during a Rair incident last month in South Florida, the authorities said.

The former All-Star was committed to the Broward County Jail on Wednesday and was left for Bond later, according to the court reports. He is confronted with crime costs of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and throws a rocket in public or private home.

Judicial information did not state a lawyer for Furcal. His former agent, Paul Kinzer, refused to comment on the charges and gave no way to reach Furcal immediately. Attempts to reach Furcal at home were not successful.

The Sunrise Police Department issued the order for the arrest of Furcal on Monday. A man had told officers that on April 28 he had a nearby collision with a black pick-up truck in a parking lot for shopping center. The other driver, later identified as Furcal, got out of the truck and started throwing stones at the man’s work vehicle, said a arrest report.

When the man got out of his vehicle to confront Furcal, the man said he was beaten with a rock on the hand while trying to protect himself. The man said he ran to Furcal and hit him several times, so Furcal stood back in his truck and left.

Researchers said they used surveillance video to identify the license plate of the truck, which Furcal showed as the owner. The alleged victim identified Furcal in a photo -line -up as the person who attacked him.

Furcal, 47, started with the Atlanta Braves in 2000, followed by Stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was with the Cardinals in 2011 when they defeated the Texas Rangers in the World Series. He ended his professional baseball career at the Miami Marlins in 2014.

Furcal completed the 12th not -supported triple game in the MLB history on 10 August 2003, while he played for the Braves against the cardinals.
