Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The assembly call And In the hallWhere we emphasize the five most essential IU basketball stories from the past week, plus to see how the other IU sports programs are doing.
The annual Hoosier Hysteria event that opens the basketball season unofficially gets a large shakeup.
We will also look at a few pre-season projections for IU basketball in the Big ten, recruiting updates and football improvement to 3-0. As usual, we will end with weekly shows and a look at other IP sports.
This is what it says in this week’s edition:
• IU basketball to debut Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood
• Big ten projections for IU Basketball
• New 2026 offer, updated IU Basketball Recruiting Board
• Football is crushing Indiana State, 73-0
• Podcast on the Brink and Back Home Network shows
• Hoosier Roundup
Banner #1 – Iu Basketball to make Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood
An annual tradition that starts the basketball season of IU will get a big change. Instead of opening in the Assembly Hall with Hoosier Hysteria, IU takes the opening event of the opening fan out.
This will be in the form of Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood, who will take place under the stars at Bloomington’s Main Downtown Street near the example gates. The event is on October 2 and takes place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the 300, 400 and 500 blocks of Kirkwood Avenue.
The basketballquads for men and women will still be characterized. Also during this time many well -known events from the past will take place, including players’ introductions and skills competitions.
Banner #2 – Presason Big Ten – Projecties for IU Basketball
Projections for IU basketball are less optimistic than last season, because the new Hoosier coach Darian Devries takes over with a completely new selection.
Two prominent publications have Indiana in the middle of the peloton in the Big ten, with Blue Ribbon winding them ninth in the competition, while Lindy’s Sport chooses them 10th.
In the hall a series also started to view all teams in the Big. This week Penn State, Rutgers and Minnesota were demolished.
Banner #3 – New 2026 – offer, updated IU Basketball Recruiting Board
While the schedules have been set up for this coming year, Devries tries to falter in talent for the road. This week IU 2026 top-150 guard Anthony Brown offered a grant.
As the recruitment continues, Inside the Hall also offered an updated September goals from Indiana.
Banner #4-football is crushing Indiana State, 73-0
The expectations are high that IU football can come close to last year’s success. This weekend was Matchup number three and the last for Big ten Play.
From a dominant but imperfect victory against Kennesaw State that the Hoisiers saw rising in the polls, I still got a one -sided result, making Indiana State empty 73-0.
With the victory, the team improved to a perfect 3-0.
The conference game starts next Saturday with a blockbuster. The Cream and Crimson have one of their biggest competitions in the history of the Memorial Stadium when they organize Top-10 Illinois on NBC at 7.30 pm.
Banner #5 – Podcast on the Brink and Back Home Network Shows
In the podcast of the hall on the edge this week returned. Dylan Burkhardt van Umhoops then discussed the best players of the Big ten.
The home network Was many times in the air this week while new shows are still being added.
