Fasig-Tipton’s November Sale, the company’s prestigious breeding stock sale, takes place on November 3 in Lexington and features some of the highest quality weanling, broodmare and broodmare or racing opportunities in North America.
Sales were boosted by several updates during the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from October 31 through November. 1 bee Seacrowned by the dominant victory of Shisopicy in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1T). Gainesway General Manager Brian Graves purchased Shisospicy as a weanling at the 2023 Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale for $100,000.
“Our history with Shisospicy goes way back,” Graves said. “I bought her as a foal myself for our pinhooking partners. The main reason I was attracted to her as a foal is because she was beautiful. She was just an absolute stunner, long-legged… the very definition of physical peak. Long, beautiful neck, and sloping shoulder and big hip. We took her to the July sale, where she was loved and well vetted.

“Her victory at Kentucky Downs (Music City Stakes) was really impressive, and what she did yesterday (in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint) was an elite performance. She is the only three-year-old filly to win that race in history. She is at the pinnacle of her division. We’ll see what happens here at the sale.”
Boyd Browning Jr., president and CEO of Fasig-Tipton, was equally excited to offer the special filly at their prestigious sale.
“It was a breathtaking performance that she put on,” Browning said. “She has put together an exceptional group of horses. It was a double search because we also have her mother (Mischief Galore) for sale. I am so happy with her connections and the man who owns her mother.
“And I can’t leave out Ag Bullet, who had a great race and finished second. We couldn’t be happier going into tomorrow.”

Ag bullet (Hip 183) made it a female exacta in Turf Sprint, finishing a game second behind Shisospicy. Ag Bullet is no stranger to taking on the boys as she won the Jaipur Stakes (G1T) last summer at Saratoga Race Courseand finished third in the Turf Sprint last year. The 5 year old mare became Spinning candy ‘s top earner after her Saturday effort, amassing more than $2.9 million in earnings throughout her illustrious career. She will be offered as a racing or broodmare by Mill Ridge Sales, agent.
Ted Noffey won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1), adding a third Grade 1 victory to his resume and his dam Streak of Luck (Hip 220) was way ahead of her time in the sales ring. The 10-year-old mare is offered pregnant to a top sire Not this time by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Aaron and Marie Jones.
“He’s 4-for-4, he’s won three Class 1 races,” Browning said of Ted Noffey. “He’s a great horse. The beautiful mare (Streak of Luck) is clearly pregnant to one of the most popular stallions in the world: Not This Time. It’s a very, very exciting package. The mare is still very young. The potential there is great.”
To conclude the family of Breeders’ Cup-winning offerings, it is Hip 188 – Attabe, a 5-year-old half-sister of the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Nysos pregnant with Horse of the Year 2022 Flight line . She is shipped by Woods Edge Farm, agent.
This year’s auction offers a first look at many weaner offspring of bulls from the first crop, including Horse of the Year 2023 Cody’s wish . Foals from Juddmonte Farm’s Elite power who was voted champion male sprinter in 2022 and 2023, is also up for grabs. Elite Power, also a son of Curlin, won consecutive editions of the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) to highlight his championship campaigns. He faced an advertised compensation of $50,000 his first year.
“It’s always fun to see these first-year bulls,” Browning said. “This year there is a very good group again. They will be well received, as always.”
At last year’s auction, 178 horses sold for $96,423,500, including private sales. The average price was $541,705 with a median of $250,000.
The most expensive horse was McKulick who brought $6 million from Narvick International for Grand Stud from the ELiTE shipment. Twenty-six horses sold for $1 million or more.
The sale starts Monday at 4 p.m. As of Sunday evening, Fasig-Tipton had reported 36 zeros.
