Royal Enfield Flying Flea FF.S6: Important details

The FF.S6 pays tribute to the original lightweight Flying Flea, known for its agility and versatility. It features a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, upside-down forks, long-travel suspension and a chain final drive. An enduro-style seat and an off-road riding mode improve comfort and control on mixed terrain. The motorcycle also features dual-channel switchable ABS and lean angle detection for improved safety.

The FF.S6 is powered by a magnesium battery housing with fins for optimal cooling and balance. A round instrument panel with touch screen combines classic style with modern functionality. It runs on Royal Enfield’s custom operating system, backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor, and offers 4G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The system supports navigation, media playback and vehicle telemetry, along with voice assistant integration via a connected smartphone. Power delivery and traction are managed by NXP microcontrollers and a proprietary Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which offers multiple driving modes. The bike also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, smartwatch integration, and remote access for diagnostics and charging status.

According to a report by ET Auto, the Flying Flea FF.S6 will be built at Royal Enfield’s Vallam Vadagal factory in Tamil Nadu, with technical inputs from teams in India and the UK. More details on localization, specifications and pricing will be announced closer to production.
