Remy Brown N storms home to win

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Remy Brown N (Vincentius) was given a perfect harness handlebar by driver Bradley Chisholm to register her 18th^e career win in 58 attempts on Friday night set a conditioned pace for fillies and mares at The Meadowlands.

The 6 year old daughter of Vincentius-Paddy Brown showed great speed at the start from post seven in the 10-horse field, reaching the quarter at the point in :27.1. Blood Moon A, who had scored post 10, also kicked in early and raced alongside the eventual winner in the quarter before taking the top and leading at the half in :55.3.

Jillian Jiggs now moved quickly ahead and was next to the leader applying pressure at three quarters as they reached that point in 1:24. Blood Moon A shrugged off Jillian Jiggs early in the stretch, but just inside the eighth pole Remy Brown N found space from the pocket and beat the hard-charging Tennis Queen to record a safe neck victory down the inside in 1:52. Tennis Queen came second and Blood Moon A third.

“She missed a week prior to her last start,” Chisholm said. “So we were happy with a less aggressive approach at the $7,500 non-winners level. We dropped down to the $5,000 non-winners level. [tonight]. The post wasn’t ideal, but her early speed got her into the race. She still had to do the work on both sides [of the mile]so good for her.
