The winners of the two singles events in the Ormesby Junior 2* Open Championships on October 26 were Louis Fell from Scarborough, who won the Junior Boys Singles, and Charlie Burnside from Ormesby, who took the Cadet title.
To take the Junior title, Fell won all his matches, including a win in back-to-back matches against Birmingham’s Zain Ali, who finished second.
The only match in which Fell lost a match was to Ormesby’s Aaron Christie, who Fell won 11–7 in the decider. Christie finished third.
The Cadet Boys Singles winner was Charlie Burnside, who won all his matches, including a victory against the runner-up, Jacob Dennison from Lancashire. This was in three consecutive games.
Burnside was stretched in a match against Yorkshire’s Oscar Dixon, which went to five games.
With the exception of Burnside, Dennison won all his remaining matches, but was taken four games by Ormesby’s Jack Walker, who finished in fourth place. Dennison was taken to five by another Ormesby player, Jonti Barnes, who finished third.
