The young opener of new -Zeeland Tim Robinson announced himself on the international stage with a sparkling first T20i century against Australia and led his team to a competitive total of 181/6 in 20 overs in the first of the series of three games. The right -handed person remained unbeaten at 106 from 66 balls, and hit six four and five sixes with a success rate of 160.61. His impressive innings was the backbone of the batting -effort of new -Zeeland and ensured that they recovered from a shaky start to place a fight score.
The Bowlers of Australia are struggling to control Tim Robinson after the early collapse of New -Zealand
The hosts have passed a disastrous start and lost three wickets in the first two overs. Tim Seifert (4), Devon Conway (1) and Mark Chapman (0) all left cheaply, making new Zeeland on 6/3 staggered. However, Robinson kept his courage and attached a crucial position with Daryl Mitchell, who came in with a sturdy 34 out of 23 balls.
After the dismissal of Mitchell on 98/4, Jacobs (20 out of 21) and skipper Michael Bracewell (7 off 4) offered useful cameets, leaving the momentum alive in the middle and Death Overs. Despite two late runs-outs, the calmness of Robinson ensured that New Zealand crossed the 180-run marker.
The Australia attack yielded mixed results. Josh Hazlewood was the striking with 1/23 of four overs in a stingy economy of 5.80. Adam Zampa also bowed tightly and only admitted 27 points in his quota. Ben Dwarshuis (2/40) and Matthew Short (1/32), however, turned out to be expensive, while Marcus Stoinis and Xavier Bartlett leaked both runs by more than 10 per over.
With a target of 182 at a balanced pitch, Australia will rely on their Power-Pack Batting order to chase the score. In the meantime, New Zealand will look at their bowlers-under the direction of Kyle Jamieson and Michael Bracewell-Om Robinson’s memorable knock and push them for a series-defined victory.
