Nicole Kidman sells Sydney apartment worth $8.5 million – realestate.com.au

Nicole Kidman has sold one of her apartments in Milsons Point’s Latitude complex.

It was the latest of her six additions to the high-rise overlooking the Harbor Bridge and Opera House.

The three-bedroom 15th-floor apartment that cost $7.725 million in 2023 fetched a construction record $8.5 million when it was sold to winemaker David Madson. The previously unreported sale, which went unnoticed amid Kidman’s labyrinth of low-profile shelf companies, took place in mid-2025 as her marriage to Keith Urban ended.

All purchases of Kidman’s Lavender St apartments are made through companies run by lifelong friend, Annette Rechner, née Overton, who grew up near the Kidman family in Lane Cove.

There have been no further signs of any other real estate transaction since then Kidman and Urban finalized their divorce in September. Their official court records in Tennessee show that Kidman, as plaintiff, and her husband, as defendant, will each retain their individual property during the divorce.

The ultra-private duo’s mandatory filing revealed that all of the properties were “purchased under a trust or an LLC, and the original agreements determine who will retain ownership of each property.”

Properties include the Bunya Hill farm in the Southern Highlands, which cost $6 million in 2008.

Kidman remains at the Nashville residence to provide stability for the couple’s two daughters. She has primary custody, while Urban has a visitation schedule set in late August.

News of the divorce came at the end of September and has since been followed by unconfirmed speculation that the couple were living apart early during the US summer which starts in June. But their social media did acknowledge their 19th wedding anniversary at the end of June.

The recently sold apartment was the sixth in the building, the first being in 2009 for $6 million. It was followed by a $7 million purchase in 2012, which combined the two 21st-floor penthouses into an 8,000-square-foot, two-story residence. In 2011, a 19th floor apartment was purchased for $2.68 million. In 2021, a two-bedroom unit on the 20th floor cost $2.78 million, while a one-bedroom unit on the fourth floor cost $1.35 million in 2022.

The news also comes amid reports that Urban has moved in with his new girlfriend after his divorce from Kidman was finalized earlier this month.
