We know the quarterback is the most important position on the field, but a great pass rush is the ultimate equalizer. Pressure disrupts timing, rhythm and accuracy, something only the elite quarterbacks can consistently overcome.
Last season, 13 of the top 15 teams in the PFF pass-rush class had a winning record. In 2023, 15 of the top 16 teams in the PFF pass-rush class had a winning record. A dominant pass rush is undeniably crucial to a team’s success over the course of the season.
Each week, after each NFL game has been reviewed and graded, PFF checks in on the top pass rushers of the 2025 season. These rankings will change dramatically early in the campaign, as one sack, hit or pressure can significantly change a player’s grade if the sample size is small. But as the numbers go up, the numbers will stabilize and we’ll get a clearer picture of the best pass rushers in the league.
Here are the 32 best pass rushers for the 2025 season after Week 13. For more numbers and stats on the best pass rushers in the league, visit PFF Premium Stats.

Highlights from week 13
Best Pass Rusher: Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers
Parsons and the Packers started Week 13 with a road win against the Lions on Thanksgiving. Parsons was elite again in that game, earning a PFF pass-rush grade of 90.6 after generating seven pressures, including 2.5 sacks. It was the sixth time this season he posted a PFF pass-rush grade of 90.6-plus.

Most pressure: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns; Joseph Ossai, Cincinnati Bengals
Garrett’s eight pressures led the league for the second week in a row, and he has now generated 26 pressures since the start of Week 11. For Ossai, his eight pressures tied a career high. The Bengals defense frustrated Lamar Jackson all game en route to an upset win on the road.
Highest winning percentage: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans
Anderson’s pass-rush winning percentage of 38.9% in Week 13 paced the league, narrowly beating Chargers lead Khalil Mack (38.5%). The 2023 Defensive Rookie of the Year has taken his play to a new level in his third season leading the league’s best defensive unit.
Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants
Carter was benched for the first quarter against the Patriots on Monday Night Football, but bounced back in a big way the rest of the game, generating six pressures (one sack) and leading all rookies in PFF pass-rush grade (75.4) for the week.
Highlights of the season
Best Pass Rusher: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
Garrett owns the NFL’s best PFF pass-rush grade through 13 weeks (93.6) and is coming off another strong outing against the 49ers (87.7), recording his league-leading 19th sack of the season against standout left tackle Trent Williams. The six-time All-Pro needs just four sacks over the final five games of the year to break the NFL season-long sack record.

Most pressure: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions
Hutchinson’s 71 total pressures lead the NFL, but the gap has narrowed significantly in recent weeks, with three players (Will Anderson Jr., Micah Parsons and Josh Hines-Allen) sitting within five pressures. The Packers have done a great job of slowing down Hutchinson this season, as he generated just five pressures in 53 pass-rush snaps during their two matchups.
Highest win rate: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
Garrett (28.0%) and Will Anderson Jr. (27.8%) are the only two players in the NFL with a winning percentage above 24.5% through Week 13. Garrett is winning the most reps of his career, which is saying something for the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. He led the NFL last season (23.1%) and in 2023 (27.3%).
Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants
Carter leads all rookies in PFF pass-rush grade (76.5) and total pressures (44), while ranking second in pass-rush winning percentage (13.5%), behind the Cowboys’ Donovan Ezeiruaku (13.7%).
