Recommended start time for round 1
While there but 20 players on the field in this week’s Hero World Challenge, the star power is enormous. And for many participants it is the first time in months that we have seen them on the course.
That applies to Scottie Scheffler, number 1 in the world. Scheffler is the defending champion and a heavy betting favorite to win the Tiger Woods tournament for the third year in a row.
Three-time national champion Jordan Spieth will play at Scheffler on Thursday. After a disappointing season, Spieth hopes to start his comeback this week in the Bahamas.
Scheffler and Spieth tee off for Thursday’s opening round in the final pairing at 12:25 PM ET.
You can watch the first round of the 2025 Hero World Challenge this Thursday from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM ET on Golf Channel. You can also stream a live simulcast of Golf Channel’s Thursday coverage via NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App.
