An accountant who has become a designer is banking on a styling budget of $ 5000 and lots of creative flair to tie a buyer for her house in Queenslander.
Brisbane Mother of two Peace Lehman studied a diploma interior design after relocation of Sydney, Styling Houses for family and friends before they returned to her accounting career. But she never left interiors and brought the same methodical approach that she once applied to balance sheets at her own house.
Mrs. Lehman and husband, Steven Gosarevski, bought the 1925-built house on 33 Chermside Ave, Hendra for $ 1.14 million in 2016, and mentioned it for auction with location ASCOT agent Jill Wright-Wooton on 13 September.

Mr. Gosarevski was first taken by the views of the building of the building and Poinciana, while Mrs. Lehman saw it through the lens of a decorator.
“I have always loved character houses and antiques, so it was an opportunity to really embrace decorating with the charm of the original Queenslander with his high ceilings, VJs, French doors and original wooden floors,” she said.
Cosmetic changes layered color and pattern over the house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms in the house: blue painted shelves in the large bedroom, lively green in the ladies’ room, flower wallpaper and lagcotting below, and classic William Morris in her office.
The house was stylized to feel warm and hospitable
Documents collected or re -conceived tells a personal story. A church of youth, finished with her father, stood in the hall. The dining room glowed under a locally produced antique brass chandelier, above a table from Sydney. In the living room, the British colonial style came through jacobean armchairs and a white sofa -filled couch.
“We stylized our house to fit its age and our own style,” said Mrs. Lehman.
“It was important for our house to feel warm and hospitable and reflect our family. We usually style with pieces of our travels and cherished family photos.”

When it was time to sell, Mrs. Lehman shifted and spent $ 4000 – $ 5000 to make a strong first impression.
The front door was re -painted in the far coast of British Paints and equipped with new copper hardware, while affordable rugs, pillows and lighting were added to create warmth and electricity. MarketPlace finds, including a side table from the tiger cane, antique seats and $ 60 garden bench were revived to add character at minimal costs.
