Mercedes-Benz reveals All-New Electric GLC with EQ technology at IAA Mobility 2025

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the completely new GLC with EQ technology at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, which marks an important milestone in the evolution of the Electric and Design brand. The model is the first series production Mercedes that embodies the next phase of its design language ‘Sensual purity’.

The GLC introduces a re -devised schedule that defines the new face of the brand, while the interior mixtures flow with advanced digital functions. According to the company, the cabin is designed to offer a space that feels effortless, connected and very personal.

In the middle of this transformation is the debut of the MBUX hyperscreen, which Mercedes-Benz describes as the biggest display ever installed in one of the vehicles. The screen measuring 99.3 centimeters (39.1 inches) over the cabin, the screen extends seamlessly from pillar to pillar. It contains Matrix background lighting technology with more than 1,000 LEDs, which supplies a high clarity and lively color. With a “zone diming” function of patent, two display areas can be adjusted independently, so that critical information remains visible and at the same time distraction is minimized.

The cabin design is accentuated by a sculptural trim element that unites the middle console and the instrument panel in a single sweeping surface, illuminated by ambient light. Features include double drawers for fast wireless charging, a redesigned hard-key control strip and separate cup holders. Galvanized ventilation openings, clean door panels with metal speaker grilles and minimalist leather seats contribute to the refined aesthetics. Climate controls are linked to environmental lighting, which changes color to visually confirm adjustments.

Mercedes has also introduced atmospheric “environment styles” with high resolution as background motifs. These digital themes synchronize with the instrument cluster, operating elements and lighting to create personalized moods, ranging from calm and cool to warm and emotional. The system is powered by the Mercedes-Benz control system (MB.OS), which guarantees seamless integration of physical and digital experiences.
