Alexander Hernandez added another big win to his resume at Noche UFC.
‘The Great Ape’ delighted fans with a Stellar second round knockout over Diego Ferreira.
After his great victory, Hernandez appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show To talk about his big win and what could come. During their conversation, the Brazilian released some frustration in recent years about the lack of high -profile fighting or promotional efforts of his employer.
“In general it was a bit of a matte effort,” said Hernandez. “No fighting or prime minister fight or event is really pushed too hard. We certainly do not get the sick promos that we returned in 2015. Dana White is thinly distributed, part of it is proof of how well the UFC brand does, so that he does not have to be with every show and cut promos.
“You are now looking at the APEX shows, do they feel the same as back in 2015-2016? Of course not … It just felt like a different show. I love the splendor. The flare gets you started. We need more of it.”
The UFC takes a week off after the Mexican Independence Day celebration in Texas, but they are back on 27 September for UFC Fight Night: Ulberg vs. Reyes. Subsequently, all eyes will be aimed at the expected light heavyweight Rematch Championship between reigning title holder Magomed Ankalaev and former two -division champion Alex Pereira.
Pereira handed over the 205 pound crown to Ankalaev in March after he had submitted a faint version to UFC 313, which was later attributed to a broken hand and a bad match of Norovirus.

As far as Hernandez is concerned, the rising lightweight sensation called for a collision with ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler after his victory against Ferreira. Whether he gets that matchup can still be seen, but anyway, his next outing should be for an opportunity to finally break into the coveted top 15 of the division.
