Mazda has released pricing for the 2026 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and great news: the price only increases by $600. The roadster starts at $31,665 for the soft top with a six-speed manual transmission. The Club and Grand Touring trims also increase by just $600.
The Miata Club starts at $35,165, while the Miata Grand Touring costs $36,965. The GT is the only trim available with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and it’s a $920 upgrade.
Mazda continues to offer the Brembo BBS Recaro package for the Miata Club, priced at $5,050. For 2026, the automaker is adding a black Alcantara interior with light gray contrast stitching and black accents.

The ND Miata, which first went on sale in the third quarter of 2015, still uses Mazda’s 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque.
The hardtop Miata RF is $750 more expensive for 2026, starting at $43,135 for the Club, including the Brembo BBS Recaro package. The Miata RF Grand Touring costs $39,685, an increase of $600.
Tan Nappa leather is available for $300 on Grand Touring models. The four premium paints – Aero Gray Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic – cost $595, unchanged from 2025.

The entry-level Miata Sport comes with an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with touch capabilities for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, driver alert and more.
Inside, Sport comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloth bucket seats, a six-speaker stereo, dual USB-C ports, and one-touch power windows that can be lowered. 16-inch wheels and LED headlights, taillights and daytime running lights are standard.
The Club adds Bilstein dampers, a front shock absorber bracket, DSC-Track mode, 17-inch black metallic wheels, vinyl leather and heated cloth seats. Wireless connectivity is standard.
Customers who opt for the Brembo BBS Recaro package will get unique wheels, red brake calipers, an aero kit and more.
The Miata Grand Touring sits at the top of the lineup and comes with features such as adaptive headlights, high beam control, traffic sign recognition, radar cruise control (automatic) and rain-sensing wipers. Inside, it has heated leather seats and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

When it comes to affordable sports cars, the Mazda Miata remains the cheapest option.
The 2026 Toyota GR86 starts at $32,395, including the $1,195 destination charge, and features a 2.4-liter boxer engine that produces 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. The mechanically similar Subaru BRZ starts at $37,055 after Subaru discontinued the entry-level model for 2026.
The Ford Mustang, which features a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, starts at $34,635. The engine produces much more power than the Miata, BRZ and GR86, making 315 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel.
That’s a decent amount of power for the price, but Ford neutralizes the fun by only offering the engine in combination with the 10-speed automatic. If you want a manual, you’ll have to upgrade to the Mustang GT which starts at $48,555. That’s a lot of money, but the 480 hp Mustang is cheaper than the 2026 Golf R.
