Looking at Newcastle’s victory with our friends who are Nottingham Forest fans, was interesting

Last weekend we went from London to Newcastle when we managed to get tickets for the Arsenal match.

That Sunday evening who was watching the train canceled in the central station, we heard the singing “set piece ole ole ole.”

A festive song little better than the “One zero to the arsenal.”

Oh dear, arsenal supporters.

Turning around, a group of red and white dressed arsenal twenty is something. I look at my teenage son who rolls with his eyes and shakes his head with the embarrassing singing.

The boy is black and white despite the faithfulness of his extensive London family on the fake -noorde -Londense outfit. He may not have Geordie -accent, but he knows that his family ties and carrots are in Newcastle. All the honor of the guys from Gosforth High Street for getting him in his forms of tickets. Acceptable indoctrination in my book.

This weekend we have no tickets for St James’ Park and therefore did not travel, instead we watch on TV with my partner Haddock, some of his forestmates have organized to come back for the competition.

They do not want to get to the South to South, so I agree to meet them and to be in the minority. We will have to tolerate their particial oblique views of the game. Something we get used to, being in the wrong end for getting away. Roll on Brighton and West Ham.

Today in a Boozer in Pimlico, the fans of Nottingham are coming – “I expect a cricket score”, “we are going to be battered”, “Postecoglou must go.”

At this point, me and the lung of a teenager I have in tow, refer to our predictions of three zero and three, what the fans of Nottingham Forest expect.

Unfortunately the first half does not go out as expected. We are starting to play well, but Forest seem to have buried in to defend and their baby stood opposite hard husband Ryan Yates, whose Forest -boys love, does his best to unleash Joelinton and Tonali.

There are cheers of the forest boys during the break – “We take that”, “Nil Nil will do us.”

Second half and I and the child think: “Oh no not another game where we seize the team, but shook our heads away.”

Even after the goal of Bruno Wonder, Haddock and his forestmates say that one is on the maps.

Then the Geordie Maradona gives us a penalty that Big Nick takes extremely.

The forest magazines have now lost the will to live while United continues and with a little more happiness it would have been a cricket score.

Big Ange is ready in their eyes. And in their words, the forest manager shakes his head full of disbelief as if these are not. Bos has problems.

But good times for us, if Bruno and Big Nick keep shooting.

Forest is on the ropes and Big Ange has lost the forest support. Who needs an egocentric billionaire football club -owner?
