Logan Storley returns in exciting Clash on May 2!

Logan Storley (18-4 MMA, 3-2 PFL), a former Bellator MMA Interim Welterweight Champion, has had the luxury of fighting in his home state of South Dakota seven times during his professional career, dating back to his professional debut in the sport of MMA in August 2015.

That Friday evening, he made the walk to the cage for the first time at the now defunct Resurrection Fighting Alliance an undercard match vs. Bill Mees (2-4 MMA) in RFA 29: USA vs. Brazil. Storley’s first trip to the cage was a resounding success.

Even though the fight consisted of three rounds of five minutes each, Logan Storley only needed a little more than half of a round to complete his task. Ground and pound shots marked the end of his first career victory as a fighter. He’s come a long way since then, but he’s never forgotten South Dakota.

As for Storley’s last fight in South Dakota, it took place in June 2024 on the final card of the 2024 PFL regular season. In this bout against Luca Poclit (10-2 MMA, 0-1 PFL), the fight went to the scorecards, with Storley winning by unanimous decision after 15 minutes of action.

Entering the 2025 PFL World Tournament, Logan Storley became a welterweight finalist, but the title fight ended on a negative note. Thad Jean (11-0 MMA, 7-0 PFL) defeated Storley via unanimous decision. Undeterred, Storley will soon return to the SmartCage.

On May 7, Storley, the No. 4 contender at 170 lbs in the PFL, will headline the PFL’s return to South Dakota against No. 6 contender Florim Zendeli (11-1-1 MMA, 4-0 PFL).

Zendeli is quickly rising up the welterweight rankings and will fight Storley on the first Saturday night of May. When he joined the PFL’s active roster in 2024, he got his hand raised for victory in each of the four fights he competed in under the promotional banner.

In October, Zendeli scored a unanimous decision after three rounds of action against Omar el Dafrawy (14-6 MMA, 4-1 PFL) during PFL Champions Series 2 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. All told, he is 5-0 in his last five fights.

Zendeli is currently on a seven-fight undefeated streak, which predates the start of his PFL tenure. He has not lost a fight since October 2021, when he was defeated (knockout in the first round) by Maurice Abevi (9-1 MMA) in National Fighting Championship 6.

True test for Logan Storley

At its core, the upcoming match between Logan Storley and Florim Zendeli is a crucial fight for the former fighter. Zendeli is on a roll and isn’t far away from firmly entering the conversation for the PFL Welterweight Championship.

With the time ticking down for the Sioux Falls fight at the Sanford Pentagon and Logan Storley starting to prepare for training camp, he can’t afford to take someone like Florim Zendeli lightly. One wrong move by Storley on the night of May 2 could spell disaster for him and a high-stakes match for Zendeli next time.
