The South African Open golf is a jointly sanctioned tournament between the DP world tour and the Sunshine Tour and is part of the season’s International Swing.
The tournament, which was first held in 1903, will be held at the Stellenbosch Golf Club for the first time since 1999.
The SA Open has been played at a number of other venues over the years, including the Gary Player in Sun City in 2021 and the Durban Golf Club in 2025, when Dylan Naidoo was crowned champion.
Former winners include Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Tony Johnstone, Mark McNulty, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Tim Clark, Trevor Immelman, Richard Sterne, Henrik Stenson, Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Thriston Lawrence and Dean Burmester.
