Liverpool has been associated with a movement to sign Crystal Palace -defender Marc Guehi, but are reluctant to reach the current asking price. Guehi has less than 12 months to dispose of his contract in Selhurst Park.
Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo have previously deputy in the center-back and concludes that he has ‘countless options that can play there’ if necessary.
“We have countless options that can play there,” said Slot at his pre-match conference prior to Sunday’s community of Sunday.
“But as I always say, it’s the same boring answer as with players we can bring in or not – I am really happy with the players we have and we have countless players who can play in that position.”
However, the Dutchman stated that Liverpool always explores the market for reinforcements.
“I think we have a lot of attacking power in our team. When I think of Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa, Hugo Ekitike, Mo Salah, Jeremie Frimpong who can play as a right winger, Florian Wirtz who can play as a left-belly-I have all the feeling that I have many offensive options in my current squadium.
“But as always as a club, we always look at the opportunities in the market, but that can also be in midfield or the last rule.”
