Two cricketers of Indian descent, Aryan Sharma and Yash Dshmukh, are mentioned in Australia U19‘s Squad Against India U19 to participate in the Multi-Format Home Series later this year. The series starts on September 21.
Sharma is a batter from Victoria. All-Rounder Deshmukh is one of the five cricketers from New South Wales that were picked in the team. The young people will be coached by former Australian head coach Tim Nielsen. The coming assignment is the first Van Nielsen with the U19 setup. He previously coached the senior national side of the men, from 2007 to 2011, a period of transition, such as Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist and Glenn McGrath had called it for some time.
Speaking of the schedule of the Tour, the upcoming assignment will start with three 50-over games that will be played on 21, 24 and 26 September in the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane. The White-Ball assignment is followed by a few four-day competitions planned from 30 September to 3 October in Brisbane and from 7 to 10 October in Mackay, respectively.
The head of the national development of Cricket Australia, Sonya Thompson, expressed CA’s collective excitement for the integration of Nielsen within the U19 system.
“We are also pleased to welcome Tim Nielsen as head coach of the National U19 team. His extensive international experience and leadership will play an important role in guiding and inspiring the next generation of cricketers of Australia,” Thompson said in a release on Friday.
The coming series was designed as part of CAs long -term strategy for player development. The main objective behind this is to offer young players of first-class international exposure in both white-ball and red-ball formats to prepare them for the future. Apart from the fifteen mentioned, three extra names will participate as Standbys.
