Reports that Arsenal scouts sent to see Kenan Yildiz playing against AC Milan on Sunday, would suggest that Juventus insist that their star attacker has not been for sale on deaf ears.
The noise around the 20-year-old has grown steadily over the past two seasons, with his pace, dribbling power and an eye for goal that attracts interest from all over Europe.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both understood that they have made failed bids for Yildiz, while Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is also credited with interest in the attacker.
Such interest is nothing new for Yildiz, those offers rejected from Boyhood Club Bayern Munich and Barcelona when he signed for Juventus three summers ago. In addition to defensive midfielder Khéphren Thuram and full-back Andrea Cambiaso, the attacker is considered a pillar of the future of the Turin Club.
Juventus is steadfast in their refusal to consider saying goodbye to Yildiz, whose existing contract runs until 2029, and the agreement is approaching an improved contract that would take his annual salary from £ 1.3 million to around £ 3.5 million, in line with the best earners of the club.
The details of image rights and bonuses are the only excellent items on the agenda, according to reports in the Italian press, in which Juventus protects the services of the attacker until 2030, with the option of another year.
Why does Arsenal Kenan Yildiz want and what would he fit in?
None of that seems to have deterred Arsenal, which may not be surprising. The characteristic movement of Yildiz, presented against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last month, means that you are striking from the left to produce a curled finish in the distant pole in a way that Redolent of Arsenal -legend Thierry Henry.
It is no secret that the club manager Mikel Arteta would like to add more attacking intention to the left side of his front three, where Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Mikel Merino, Noni Madueke and Ebereechi Eze have all characterized this season.
None of those players, however, made the position of themselves, and there can be little doubt that Yildiz would bring new creativity and threats, Arsenal was able to praise him from the Allianz Stadium.
However, where that would leave, however, is unclear. A signing of £ 60 million from Crystal Palace this summer, the attacker has only completed the Premier League for 90 minutes since his arrival, although that did not prevent him from offering assists against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City. The Nigeria International also scored his first goal for the club in the victory of last month’s League Cup in Port Vale.
But with Madueke, who arrived from Chelsea in July, effectively signed as cover for Bukayo Saka on the right side of the front three, would it be that he was confronted with fierce competition for a starting place.
That could of course change, was a substantial offer to come in for Martinelli, who was reportedly open to the sale this summer.
Who is Kenan Yildiz?
Yildiz, born in Eastern Bavaria, has a Turkish father, Engin, and a German mother, Beate Hackl, who both played an active role in his early development. He came through the youth system of Bayern Munich, but decided to sign his first professional contract with the club, instead for Juventus.
He then scored against Frosinone at his first start, and last September Juventus’s youngest Champions League goalkeeper ever, where he was against PSV to darken a record that was previously held by Alessandro del Piero.
Praised as the most valuable Turkish player in history, his potential commercial importance for Juventus was easily made when he appeared in a promotional campaign from Adidas in addition to Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal last year.
“The Turk is a phenomenon and will be a balloon d’Or winner in the future,” the former Italy -International Giuseppe Rossi recently told Tuttomercatoweb. “He is 20, but he plays as a 30-year-old with a hundred Champions League performances.
“I have a weakness for his ability to try a nice game for the well -being of the team, not just for the applause. Juventus is Yildiz Plus 10 others; in terms of Impact he is a bit on the Lamine Yamal of the Bianconeri.”
What did Kenan Yildiz say about his future?
At the moment Yildiz seems to have content to fulfill that role.
“Staying in Juventus for the rest of my life would be a dream for me,” said Yildiz, who scored two goals and has contributed to four assists this season so far.
“But in football you never know what can happen. I prefer to enjoy the present without thinking too much about the future.”
Arsenal belongs to those who remain optimistic that the future of the attacker can include them.
