LFC’s Hungarian duo excel against Brighton – but who scored 9.1/10?

Milos Kerkez’s stock continues to rise at Liverpool, but did he score the most of any Reds player in the 3-0 win over Brighton?

Arne Slot’s team were excellent at Anfield on Saturday evening and reached the fifth round of the FA Cup after a quality performance.

Here we compare our player ratings with those of the Liverpool echo, GOAL and the TIA readers.

Kerkez (8.40) has had an increasingly impressive first season at Liverpool and was fantastic against Brighton, earning the highest overall rating.

The Hungarian assisted Curtis Jones in third place (8.13) for the Reds’ opening goal and shone in all facets of his game.

GOAL’s Mark Doyle described the assist as a “beautiful” moment from Kerkez, adding that he is “defending so much better than at the start of the season.”

Dominik Szoboszlai (8.23) came second in the ratings after another great performance, as he scored the best goal of the night.

Paul Gorst of the Echo called him “sharp and mobile” in his favorite midfield role This is AnfieldJames Nalton pointed out that he is “in double figures for goals for the first time” at Liverpool.

Federico Chiesa (5.0) scored the lowest for the Reds and failed to show Slot that he is worth continuing after the summer.

What the statistics say

According to FotMob, Mohammed Salah was Liverpool’s best player and got a 9.1 out of 10 judgement.

It’s hard to remember him looking better this season, and that can only be a good thing.

Salah was a threat all evening, scoring and assisting, with no player having more shots (five) or the most successful dribbles (3/4).

It was impossible not to ignore Szoboszlai in a statistical sense too, with Liverpool’s number 8 now in monstrous presence.

He won both of his aerial duels and completed 98 percent of his passes – he’s so far ahead in the Player of the Year race!
