A disturbing scene was discovered outside the Apex Museum in Atlanta, after employees had found a rope hung on a tree that was visible to the public.
According to 11 alivelaw enforcement set An investigation after the discovery of the hanging rope of a tree outside the Apex Museum, next to the campus of Georgia State University. The police of Atlanta, together with the Homeland Security in Georgia, is investigating the incident, but stopped labeling the rope a sling. However, speculation is derived, especially with the current political climate.
The police issued a statement and said, “Officers are investigating the circumstances. At the moment there is nothing important to report.”
Dan Moore, Jr., the president and CEO of Apex Museum, went to social media after the discovery of the hanging rope.
“For black communities in the United States, a noose is a symbol of terror that represents Lynchings, hatred, racial violence and a system that once the murder of blacks in the context of the murder of blacks has anuction to force white supremation.
He added that we should be resilient as a community against the alleged symbol of fear that has been placed near an institution that reminds us of American racist history. Although the appearance of a rope -hanging typical symbol of racism and hatred has been, Homeland Security refused to call the rope a ‘noose’, despite the supposed meaning behind the hanging rope. Yet it was held as evidence for the investigation.
“It was not considered ‘noose’ by Homeland Security and has since been removed from the building for evidence.”
Kyler Winston-Kendricks, who is working in the museum, stated that this incident took place just before the commemoration of the Bed of the 1906 Race (Atlanta).
