Ivanov, Vromme Win US Open Junior titles

NEW YORK – Jeline Vandromme and Ivan Ivanov added new trophies to their collections on Saturday and conquered the US Open Junior Boys and Girls titles in straight sets.

Vandromme achieved the Swedish qualifying-Lea Nilsson 7-6 (2), 6-2 in the trekking of the girls, overcoming an early shortage and fighting by a Tie break to take the first set before he was accelerated to get the second.

“I don’t think I can still believe it,” Vandromme said after the victory on the field. “I am very happy with my week here, with the level I showed,”
