There are only two all-seeddowns in the entire fourth round of Shanghai, with one of them on Tuesday: Holger Rune vs. Giovanni mpethsi perricard. Novak Djokovic also offers a quarter -final place.
Jaume Munar vs. (4) Novak Djokovic
This may not be Grand Slam, but Djokovic’s motivation level should be high at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. He would not play this tournament if it was not – this is his first performance outside of a major since Geneva in May. Throw in the fact that Djokovic is now the favorite of the title Die the outputs of Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and a whole series of other seeds, and the 37-year-old will be at the bit on the bit for a fifth Shanghai title.
After victories over Marin Cilic and Yannick Hanfmann, Djokovic will meet Munar on Tuesday during the fourth round action. Their only earlier meeting arrived in Roland Garros seven years ago, where the Serbian drove 7-6 (1), 6-4, 6-4. Munar enjoys an excellent 2025 campaign and this two weeks will continue with Marton Fucsovics, Flavio Cobolli and Yoshihito Nishioka, but a test against Djokovic will probably be too heavy. The 41st rank Spaniard is 1-8 in its last nine games against top five opponents, with nothing more than a hard upset by Casper Ruud during this piece (Tokyo 2022).

(32) Giovanni Mpeshi Perricard vs. (10) Holger Rune
Rune and Mpetshi Perricard go up for the third time in their career for the third time in their career on Tuesday. They divided their two previous competitions; Mpetshi Perricard overborn 7-6 (6), 6-4 on the inner hard heads of Basel last fall before Rune got the job with 7-6 (6), 6-3 this summer in Toronto.
Mpetshi Perricard is an all-or-nothing species player. More often than not in his young career, the 22-year-old Frenchman leaves Tournaments asked. The last three times, however, he has won several games at an event that he has reached at least the semi -final. Mpetshi Perricard has already dropped Fritz and Luca Nardi for fourteen days, so the world no. 37 will have designs to make a deep run. Rune has improved with victories over Sebastian Baez and Ugo Humbert, which improves his record for the season to a respectable 33-20. The 11th arranged Dane is perhaps the favorite on paper, but the serve of Mpetshi Perricard makes him every time he takes the court when he has momentum.
