Class of 2027 Guard Chase Branham announced his dedication to IU basketball on Saturday evening via his Instagram account.
The guard of Logan-Rogersville (MO.) is currently on an official visit to Bloomington. He paid an unofficial visit to Indiana in May and earned a stock market offer from IU at the end of March.
The 6-foot-4 Branham is arranged as the number 43 player in the Juniel class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
“From the coaches to the players to the place, it just felt like home,” said Branham on his Instagram account.
He had a strong list of stock market offers, including Iowa, Missouri, Creighton, Kansas State, Missouri, Purdue and Tennessee.
Branham plays for the KC Run GMC program, member of the Under Armor Association Circuit. IU assistant -coach Nick Norton played for KC Run GMC.
As a second year, Branham was named the district and conference player of the year and to the all-state team.
According to the Springfield News-Leader, Branham had an average of 19.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds as second-year-olds and 62 percent shot out of the field.
He was recently one of the standouts at the Steph Curry Camp in California. Branham was also invited to the American basketball men Junior National Team Minicamp that takes place 10-12 October in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
