Although Thuram initially played the seriousness of the injury after the game, further medical checks confirmed that he would be out for a few weeks, so that both the upcoming Serie A match and the coming World Cup qualifications of France missed.
Head coach Cristian Chivu will probably rotate his team, making no fewer than five changes to the Line -up. In particular, Ange-Yoan Bonny is ready to turn his series into a debut and to collaborate with Lautaro Martinez. Josep Martinez is expected to start in goal instead of Yann Sommer, while Carlos Augusto, Stefan de Vrij and Manuel Akanji compete for a starting roles in the defense.
Midfielder Davide Frattesi could also earn his first Serie A -start under Chivu this season, after limited performances of a total of only 51 minutes as a replacement so far.
