The Hyundai Elexio will go on sale in Australia priced from AUD 59,990 (RM 164,793), in a single Elite variant. This will have a single motor with 160 kW (218 hp) and 310 Nm driving the front wheels, based on an 88.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which offers a range of 546 km according to the WLTP test standard.
The Hyundai Elexio made its debut in July 2025, entering the SUV into the C-segment to compete with electric cars like the BYD Atto 3, which was revealed to be getting mechanical updates this year. At 4,615mm long, 1,875mm wide and 1,675mm high and with a wheelbase of 2,750mm, the Elexio could be charged to 10-80% in 38 minutes with a 350kW charger, according to Hyundai Australia’s website.
In terms of equipment, the Elexio for the Australian market gets 20-inch alloy wheels, an electric tailgate, an NFC Digital Key 2, while inside it gets a 27-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a small instrument cluster for the driver, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, and leather upholstery.

Also included are a 14-way power driver’s seat, a four-way power front passenger seat (both front seats with heating and ventilation), a heated steering wheel, wireless charging pads for two up front, a six-speaker audio system, five USB-C charging ports, four-zone voice control, BlueLink connected car services and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
The Chinese-built Hyundai Elexio should receive an import tax at a concessional rate, which should help it be competitive in the Malaysian market, which is a possibility now that the right-hand drive model is set to launch in Australia.
Currently, the comparable BYD Atto 3 in a single Ultra variant costs RM123,800 in Malaysia. If the Hyundai Elexio goes on sale in Malaysia, how much should the Chinese-made Hyundai EV cost?
