The Charlotte Hornets delivered one of their most complete performances of the season on Friday night, powering past the Orlando Magic 120-105 at the Kia Center.

Charlotte improved to 11-20 by overwhelming Orlando with three-point shooting, rebounding control and steady playmaking, even after losing rookie forward Kon Knueppel to a right ankle injury in the first half.

LaMelo Ball anchored the win with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists, setting the tone early while consistently pushing the pace.

The Hornets shot 19 of 39 from beyond the arc, good for 48.7 percent, and built a lead that reached 24 points midway through the fourth quarter.

Miles Bridges added 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Moussa Diabate provided inner muscle with 10 points and 13 boards.

Charlotte’s control of the glass was decisive as the visitors gained a 53-42 rebounding advantage and repeatedly limited Orlando to one shot.

The game took a remarkable turn late in the first half when Knueppel went down with an ankle injury after scoring 16 points in the first quarter, all on perfect 4-for-4 shooting from three.

Despite the setback, the Hornets held a 57-48 lead at halftime and continued to increase the margin with sharp execution.

Three consecutive 3-pointers from Collin Sexton late in the third quarter turned a 16-point cushion into a commanding 24-point lead.

Charlotte’s bench provided timely support, with Tidjane Salaun contributing to the rebounding and defensive activity that kept Orlando from making longer runs.

Orlando, now 17-14, was led by Anthony Black, who scored 24 points and was the most consistent perimeter threat for the hosts.

Desmond Bane finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Wendell Carter Jr. Recorded 16 points and eight boards.

The Magic played without injured starters Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs, which showed defensively as Charlotte repeatedly found clean looks from the perimeter.

The Hornets finished the night with a balanced score, efficient shooting and only fourteen goals, a key factor in securing their fourth win in six games.

Charlotte travels to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night, while Orlando stays home to face the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
