Quin Snyder was a fantastic coach for the Utah Jazz during his term of office with the team. He has been the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks for more than two years, and yet it is now the time that Hawks fans start to see how great he can really be as the leader of a team.
I say that because of the amount of talent that is now present in the dressing room of Atlanta. During the current low season, the Hawks were busy adding complementary players around Trae Young. They now have Kristaps porzingis that anchor the interior, as well as Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard who roam the circumference.
It is these additions that have played an important role to make it a mainstream conviction that Atlanta will end in the top four of the Eastern Conference next season. Although those players will undoubtedly be big additions to the Hawks, I think that many people forget or underestimate no matter how much Impact Quin Snyder will have.
Quin Snyder is in perfect position for his coaching talents to shine
Jazz -fans clearly know that Snyder is already more than two seasons at the Hawks. He left Utah for the first time to make the switch to Atlanta in February 2023. But during his first two and a half seasons at the helm with his new team, it was always quite clear that Snyder did not have a ton to work with. He is definitely a coach who can get the most out of his players, but those earlier Hawks schedules were certainly missing.
That makes so much greater chance for Snyder’s coaching -thunder to shine in the coming season. There is every reason to believe that he can bring that group to the level of one of the top teams, not only in the east, but also throughout the competition.
We all saw Snyder’s capacities to elevate a team that was shown in Utah during his eight -year term of office. The jazz made the play -offs at the helm in six of the age of eight, and they also consistently exceeded expectations. Not to mention the crown jewel of his performance with the franchise: earning the number one seed in the West in 2021 and two games away from a Western Conference Finals -appearance.
With Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley as his core group, Snyder made a system that transformed jazz into a powerhouse, culminating in the best record of the NBA that year. Now it looks like he will be in position again to achieve a similar performance this coming season.
