Genesis Invitational 2026 Payout: This is how much each player earned

In a field full of golf stars, 26-year-old Jacob Bridgeman stood alone at the Genesis Invitational this week

The Clemson product tore up Riviera Country Club over the first three days and then held on Sunday to beat Rory McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama by one to claim his first career PGA Tour victory.

Bridgeman arrived Sunday with a six-shot lead over McIlroy. Even though the gap was wide, Bridgeman knew he couldn’t stumble on the final lap and open the door for McIlroy. Playing conservative wasn’t enough. He had to stay aggressive and keep the pedal to the metal to fend off a generational great.

“I think maybe the only thing is I know he’s going to play well tomorrow. I know I can’t back up at all,” Bridgeman said Saturday.

“I think the way I play is quite aggressive and it has worked. I don’t know if I’m going to change anything. And if that aggression gets me into trouble, that’s no problem. Maybe there will be a balance with some good ones. I don’t think anything will change. Hopefully I can shoot again.”

Bridgeman opened with a first-inning birdie and knocked in another on No. 3 to extend his lead to seven. He rounded the turn level for the round and arrived on the 10th tee with a five-shot lead over Kurt Kitayama and a six-shot lead over McIlroy, Adam Scott and Aldrich Potgieter.

Bridgeman said this week was “nice and easy,” but the golf gods never make it that simple. Making his way through the back nine, Kitayama made a furious charge to close the gap to one with two holes to play. Bridgeman parred the par-5 17th and arrived at the 72nd hole needing to make a four to secure the title and avoid the play-off.

He split the fairway, hit his approach to 20 feet and two-putted to lift the trophy at the Tiger Woods tournament and take home the $4 million check that came with it.

Below is a breakdown of what everyone in the field earned in Southern California this week. The tournament carries a cash prize of $20 million, with $4 million going to the winner.
