Former Boston College Women’s Hockey Captain Connolly appointed new assistant coach at Stonehill – College Hockey | Ucho.com

Stonehill has announced the addition of Erin Connolly to the coaching staff of the Skyhawks for the 2025-26 season.

Connolly starts her collegial coaching career after two years in the professional sector and serves as a representative of sales development at Chaos Cilindo and OpenGOV.

In addition to her professional work, she has spent a lot of time on player development and since 2020 she has spent more than 20 hours a week instructing more than 30 athletes aged 6-18 to help them continue in club and secondary school hockey. As the main instructor at Driscoll Skating & Skills, she designed and implement specialized drill drilling on IICE to improve skating, puck-hiping and overall performance.

“As a former Captain and Beanpot MVP at Boston College, we look forward to sharing her knowledge with our group,” said Stonehill head coach Lee-J Mirasolo in a statement. “She is aware of what a team needs to be successful, which is clear in her four performances at the NCAA tournament, two of which resulted in traveling to the frozen four. She is wearing a background in skills that will help with the individual development of our players.

“Erin is a champion on and next to the ice, and we are very happy to welcome her on board as a skyhawk.”

During her ungradued years at Boston College, Connolly worked during two summers as a fitness coach at the South Boston Leadership Initiative, which means that young people aged 12-18 were supervised by structured goals setting programs aimed at academic performance and career development.

Connolly, graduated in 2019 BC, was a five-year member of the women’s hockey team of the Eagles and served as a team captain during the 2019-200000010 season. She earned Hockey East All-Academic Team Honors, was recognized with a place on the ACC Athletics Honor Roll in 2020 and was appointed Beanpot MVP in 2017.

She recorded 42 career points in 131 competitions and helped Boston College to three Beanpot championships, two hockey East Tournament titles, three hockey crowns in the regular season and four NCAA tournament performances inclusive two trips to the Frozen Four. She was also part of the 2015–16 team that set the NCAA record for most victories in one season.
