Evergreen Pacer Tims A Trooper (Tintin in America) caused a upset when he was too strong to upset his more imagined rivals at the open pace in Albion Park on Saturday evening.
A small but select field of six runners showed some of the leading local pacers currently racing.

The most important question was whether Wispa could take a secret running. Frankie Ferocious showed early speed, but Pete McMulling on Wispa seemed a secret determined to continue and he could lead without too much trouble. Frankie Ferocious was on the back of the leader, while Tims went back to the latter from his broad draw.
