Thomas Tuchel currently has no plans to call up another player in place of the 22-year-old.

It means that Quansah is waiting for a first appearance by Three Lions.

The defender, who left Liverpool for Leverkusen in July on a £30million contract, has been part of five previous England squads but has never won a cap.

He hoped that would happen this month, but after being left as an unused substitute against Wales on Thursday.

But that is now out of the question due to an injury.

England fans are still eagerly awaiting the fitness status of captain Harry Kane and fellow striker Ollie Watkins.

Kane, 32, missed the 3-0 win over the Welsh due to an ankle injury he sustained while playing for Bayern Munich.

Watkins came off at half-time in the match at Wembley after hurting his knee when he collided with the post.

The fact that no backup players have been included in Tuchel’s squad can be seen as a positive sign about the attackers’ availability.

England are due to train this afternoon after having a day off on Friday.
