A key veteran of the Los Angeles Dodgers has announced he will retire at the end of next season. Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation reported that the 36-year-old not only plans to hang it up, but wants to do so with the Dodgers next season.
In other news, left-handed reliever Tanner Scott has a major injury update. Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes and manager Dave Roberts updated reporters with a new timeline of when fans can potentially expect Scott back on the mound.
Finally, rookie right-hander Roki Sasaki recently received incredible praise from his manager. Sasaki started the season under expectations in his first eight starts, but after a four-month recovery from a shoulder injury, he’s proving he’s every bit as good as the baseball world thought he would be — and doing so in high moments.
