In 2025, the world number 29 took part in 22 tournaments – playing a total of 50 matches – and posted a record of 28-22.
Raducanu remained largely healthy in 2025. But late in the season, the 23-year-old suffered foot and back injuries and also dealt with illness. That played a big role in the Brit not doing well during the Asian swing and was the reason she ended her season in mid-October.
Raducanu has since recovered and is ready to start the 2026 season with Rafael Nadal’s former coach Francisco Roig. And according to the 2021 US Open champion, her mental health and wellbeing have improved in recent weeks and she is a lot happier with her current tennis outlook.
Raducanu on her plans for 2026
“I would say that next year I hope to play less than this year, but I think I will also just integrate fitness into my warm-ups, so it’s not just my fitness sessions that are prepared for it,” the world number 29 told the BBC.
“You just have to try to instill as much as you can for the overall health of your body, little and often, that’s the biggest thing that’s helped. Most of all, I think I’ve found a lot more peace with myself, and I’m a lot happier with the way I approach my tennis and how I approach the team that I have and what we’re building and the environment that we have.”
Raducanu is scheduled to play three tournaments in January. The former world number 10 starts her season at the United Cup and then plays the WTA 250 tournament in Hobart before heading to the Australian Open.
