For the first time, fans can collect stickers featuring players from all 72 clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two. The new album, launched at the National Football Museum in Manchester, marks Panini’s first collaboration with the English Football League in more than twenty years.
The collection includes 788 stickers packed with statistics, rare Elite and Key Player cards, fabric packs and the beloved glitter that every child has hoarded like a treasure.
Katie Gritt, head of sports marketing at Panini, said the collection finally gives every fan the chance to chase stickers from the clubs closest to their hearts. “Including players from all 72 clubs for the first time, this will be the first time for many fans to collect stickers from players from the clubs they love,” she said. “The collection celebrates the incredible talent of the EFL and the legends of the game.”
Ben Wright, Chief Commercial Officer at the EFL, said the project taps into what makes football special at every level. “Football is about passion, memories and moments that bring fans together,” said Wright. “This first-ever sticker album featuring all 72 clubs is special. It celebrates the legends who shaped our game and the current players and managers who make the Championship, League One and League Two so exciting today.”
The album, available in more than 8,000 stores nationwide, has the feel of a classic Panini hit. And sometime this weekend, a new generation of kids will sit on the cold steps of the stadium and act with the same old chant: Get it, get it, need it.
