I just read two articles about Eddie Howe on The Mag.
One article (‘Eddie Howe gets sacked by Newcastle United?’) was by Dean Wilkins
The other (‘Knives are out for Eddie Howe’) by Matt Busby said to Joe Harvey.
I completely agree with the authors of these two articles on the subject of Eddie Howe.
I have a friend who said that if Newcastle United don’t beat Burnley on Tuesday night, Eddie Howe will be in the queue!!!
This friend is the same age as me, 78.
We’ve been supporting the team since we were seven.
He needed to be reminded of the mess we’ve had as managers/coaches.
This man, in my opinion, is by far the best coach we have ever had.
Some of the reactions that come out are downright stupid.
I’m surprised, especially after 14 years of Mike Ashley.
Eddie saved us from the championship.
Eddie gave us the Champions League TWICE.
Eddie got us TWO Wembley finals.
Including WINNING ONE.
I suspect many of the supporters who have commented are much younger than me and while everyone is entitled to their opinion…
If they had seen some of the dirt I saw, they would feel very differently.
So I will have my opinion.
I hope that when we get into some shape and start running, most of these people will stand up and be counted by saying they are WRONG.
