Liverpool could make a movement for Crystal Palace -midfielder Adam Wharton in the January transfer window.
Arne Slot wants to add another option to his engine room and Wharton is a player who are considering the Reds. The 21-year-old has impressed since he set the Premier League of Blackburn Rovers and broke the design of England.
Daveockkop has claimed that Liverpool has a ‘genuine interest’ in Wharton and believes that a deal can be closed for around £ 60 million plus add-ons.
It is, however, to understand that the Premier League champions feel a fee that is comparable to the deal that brought Ebereechi Eze from Crystal Palace to Arsenal can be agreed.
There is also belief in Liverpool that the Reds are Wharton’s preferred destination, despite rival interest of clubs such as Manchester United. An approach to January is considered, although a summer movement is more likely.
Liverpool also retains the interest in signing Marc Guehi from Palace. The international of England underwent a medical with Liverpool on the Deadline Day of the Transfer. However, the failure of Palace to sign a replacement ended the hope for a deal. Guehi started the last season of his contract and will be available for a free transfer in 2026.
