Ahead of Wednesday’s visit to Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, Rosenior said there was “nothing” in the speculation over the England international’s future.

Asked if Palmer is ‘untouchable’ and happy at the club, he replied: “Yes and yes. It’s simple.”
“Cole is an incredible player [Moises Caicedo] sitting next to me and many players in the group.
“I’m not surprised by the timing. A new manager comes in and suddenly there are people who want to cause unrest. That’s not true.”
“Cole is here, he is very happy and can’t wait to see him on the field.
‘There is no reason for certainty [from Chelsea’s directors]. It’s so unrealistic. It comes out of nowhere, there is nothing in it. There’s no reason to have the conversation, that’s where I sit.
“Cole is very happy. We have had numerous conversations with him about how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him – because he loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player.”
“You can’t stop speculation, but some speculations are so far from the truth that there’s no point in having a discussion about them.”
